OUR MISSION

The Sussex Fire Department pledges to perform to the best of their ability within the financial and human resources allocated to the Department by council and in doing so,

  • Strives to save lives, protect the environment and conserve property;
  • Strives to respond to motor vehicle accidents if extrication is requested;
  • Strives to respond if requested to calls for the provision of limited first aid service;
  • Strives to respond to natural and man-made disasters if our assistance is requested; and
  • Strives to conduct and participate in Fire Prevention Programs emphasizing fire-safety in the home and workplace
