Sussex Fire Dept.

The Sussex Fire Department was established in 1893 and now celebrating its 125th anniversary.

The department has grown a lot over the years and currently consists of 42 members. The department is a volunteer department with one full time staffed captain and one part time paid chief.

If our Fire Department wins we would love to put the money toward computer systems in the trucks.

This photo was taken at one of our International Atlantic Balloon Fiestas here in Sussex when the fire chief and fire hydrant balloons came to Sussex. This was the only time these shape balloons made it to our town.
