There will be increased traffic present in our region. Be alert as you travel.Due to rising water levels, Route 2 (Trans Canada Highway) will be closed to through traffic at 7 p.m. tonight, April 24, 2019. Closure will be from exit 306 (Oromocto) to Exit 423 (River Glade). Detours will be marked.

Being prepared can be.People living near rivers and waterways are advised to remain on alert over the coming days as water levels will be near or above flood stage in many regions. Residents can report any issues related to increased water levels or flooding at any time by calling 1-800-561-4034.…
Drivers must follow closure notices and are not permitted to move or drive around barricades. Ignoring or moving these barricades is an offence and offenders will be charged.
